This year, the 9th International Carnival of the Mimosa Festival brought together more than 600 participants in Herceg Novi. If you weren’t there, enjoy this photo story.
Imaginative costumes and outstanding choreography from 22 carnival groups, along with a fantastic atmosphere—make it clear why Herceg Novi’s festival has secured an important place in Europe’s big carnival family.
The carnival parade set off from Nikola Đurković Square, led by the trombon players, majorettes, a junior majorettes ensemble, the Herceg Novi City Band, the Đenović Local Band, and the “Capo” of the Herceg Novi Carnival.
The patrons and organisers of Herceg Novi’s biggest festival are the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Herceg Novi Tourist Organisation, and the Herceg-fest Public Institution, with the support of numerous sponsors and friends of the festival.
The traditional 57th Mimosa Festival runs from 13 to 28 February.
